Painting Cascais on a quarter sheet

Painting Cascais on a quarter sheet

Related to: Sketch and Color Study

After the preliminary work in my earlier stages of this project, I started by tracing in pencil the outlines of the buildings on a quarter sheet of Arches cold press cotton paper 140 lb, and mounted it on a board with masking tape for borders thus allowing for a painting area of 14 inch by 10 inch.

The stages of the paintings are inspired by studying master painters such as Joseph Zbukvic, using his watercolour clock as a mental reference. The short video below saves reading a lot of text on the making of my new painting.

The result of my work is a finished painting. I hope the reader likes it.
